Yesterday the Elite-sub 23 Catalan Championship was held in Sant Pere de Rives (Barcelona). The team showed a good attitude by taking responsibilities in the race.
From the beginning the objective of the team was to support two runners: Adrián García and Duban Cardona. Garcia is the only Catalan cyclist on the team and therefore the only one who could qualify for the championship medals. On the other hand, taking as reference the last races made Cardona is apparently the strong man of the team.
Shortly after starting a 15-run getaway was formed that quickly increased the difference with the platoon reaching a stabilization in the minute and a half of advantage. At the end of the third round, the La Tova - Asesud Almudévar set was intended to hunt the escape, despite not being able to neutralize it, the differences were drastically reduced.
Finally, Antonio García entered the finish line as the team's best runner in the main squad, the rest of the cyclists entered different lagged groups. Praise the race of ‘Toni’ for being one of the cyclists who worked the most and despite that, managed to finish in a good position.
